We are delighted that once again, our Broadland office in Stalham has been awarded Gold for the Best Estate Agency Branch in NR12 – 2021 in the annual Allagents.co.uk awards.
The local market has been and remains extremely buoyant and our team in the Stalham office have worked hard to achieve some excellent sales results over the course of the year so far. What is so important to us is that this award is based on customer reviews of the service that we have provided in these busy times, which have not been without their challenges for people trying to move home.
We continue to have lots of waiting buyers registered with us at the Stalham branch and our team there are actively seeking more properties to sell to meet the ongoing demand over the winter months. If you are thinking of moving or just selling an investment property, please do not delay over the winter months - The market remains very busy! The Lowestoft market is busier than ever, with many awaiting buyers for all the fantastic locations Lowestoft has to offer. Corton, Pakefield and Kessingland are three of the most popular areas for people moving into the town, All these locations having fantastic facilities and surrounding beaches. If you are considering moving home in the near future this is a great time to sell and achieve the very best selling price. The staff in the Lowestoft office all live and love the Lowestoft area and are a great choice if you are thinking of selling your home.
During 2021, due to the continuing pandemic we have seen the uprising of the British holiday staycation, with a dramatic increase shown in sales of holiday chalets on the eastern coast.
For a modest investment the holiday chalet can provide both an affordable holiday for the family and the potential for a healthy investment return, due to the increased popularity being shown by holidaymakers wishing to take a break in this country.
Many of the local coastal villages offer superb facilities and easy access to miles of golden sand beaches for both families and those seeking a quieter retreat away from their normal day to day life.
Locally we find California and Scratby very popular with families, with sites offering both entertainment and swimming pool facilities for residents. Along the coast at Hemsby and Winterton there are various parks which can also offer the same facilities, along with a mix of quieter sites for retirement couples or those seeking a slower pace to their vacation.
Throughout this year sales of chalets have been relentless. As a company we have managed to achieve record sales and have built a large database of prospective purchasers chasing their dream holiday home.
If you are thinking of selling a chalet, we offer superb coverage for Scratby, California, Hemsby and Winterton from our Great Yarmouth office, where we can be contacted on 01493 844891 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Congratulations to Carol Knights who has been an absolute star through September. Michelle Archer nominated Carol for a bottle of bubbly. Carol worked flat out sorting out EICR reports for hundreds of our managed properties! Partly with a terrible cold! Well done Carol!
Oulton Broad has always been an attractive proposition for buyers looking for a home with a good level of local services, entertainment and employment nearby. Forming the most Southerly gateway to the Broads from the coast, Oulton Broad is a popular destination for visitors too, attracted by the thriving centre for watersports with powerboat racing including its regular Thursday night speedboat racing, sailing, canoeing and paddle boarding. Its also a wonderful place to take a slower pace and enjoy the scenery and wildlife at your leisure, either walking, cycling or by boat with lots of places to visit, shop and eat and drink.
Our Lowestoft office currently offers an attractive bay fronted house on Bridge Road for sale, just a short distance from the Broad. This handsome period property has been beautifully improved and modernised by the current owners and benefits from views towards Lake Lothing to the rear. September is traditionally a very busy time in the housing market. Many buyers return to house hunting after their summer holidays looking to make purchases that can complete before Christmas. We also generally see a spike in new instructions and properties coming to the market.
This month is no different! Couple the above with the fact that the stamp duty holiday up to £250,000 ends 30th September 2021 it is safe to say it is very busy in our offices at the moment.
The housing market remains strong and we expect activity to stay very good as we move in to the fourth quarter of 2021.
If you are thinking of moving call us today to discuss your options.
Last week we had a couple in our office in Gorleston looking for a detached bungalow. We had no detached bungalows in the area that they were looking to offer, however, we had an excellent extended semi! The couple didn’t want to view but Eleanor suggested since they were in the area and struggling to find they should take a look!.....
60 minutes later we received an offer from them and they are now proceeding with the purchase! They are over the moon with the bungalow.
At Aldreds we always match our properties to clients on our database and who are looking to purchase across our areas. Although we advertise heavily online we are not reliant on it and maintain the same desire to match houses and buyers that we have had since 1857!
A fascinating instruction that is attracting lots of interest! Built in the mid 1800’s as a feed and flour mill, before it was given over to residential conversion in the 1950's. The Grade II Listed mill tower sits in a generous plot in a fantastic rural location with three bedroom accommodation within the tower and it's adjoining addition. A particular feature of the property, offering much more potential for further accommodation is the modern studio building within the grounds. This large, attractive building, originally built as a recording studio, offers a tremendous open plan space. The mature, secluded garden creates a wonderful setting, ideal for buyers looking for an interesting, characterful permanent residence or a holiday home/let. Available now at a Guide Price of £450,000. For more information, please contact our Stalham office on 01692 581089 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
