Aldreds have been proud and privileged to act for esteemed builders MHKing & Son for two generations.
Over this time Aldreds have assisted in the sale of properties all over the Borough of Great Yarmouth in places such as Gorleston, Belton and Hemsby. Many people in Bradwell will associate MHking & Son with the building of the Cornfields Development which was constructed from the early 1990’s until 2004.
However, most recently MHKing & Son have been constructing the popular Kings Drive development situated on the Beccles Road towards the edge of Bradwell. The first sale was agreed in July 2007 with the happy buyers moving in the November. Since then we have sold two & three bedrooms bungalow and two, three & four bedroom houses to many happy customers. Including one of our own team!
The popularity of this development is best demonstrated by the fact that the number of resales and people moving after purchasing is way below what is usually expected. This is testament to the quality of the properties and the ability for families to grow in to them. Many of the people who put their houses for sale on Kings Drive are wanting upsize or downsize on the development.
However, all good things have to come to an end. We don’t doubt that Kings Drive will remain popular moving forward, however, from a new build point of view this development is nearly complete. Tara nominated Beatrix as she fought her way in through all of the snow and bad weather at the start of March so that customers could get through to us and have the service they expect. A few years ago we made the decision to open all of our town offices sales department till 4pm on Saturday’s. In many parts of the country opening Saturday afternoon is the norm. However, over in Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Lowestoft most estate agents had reduced their Saturday hours to 9am to 1pm after the recession of the 1990’s and never extended them again.
The extra capacity these opening hours have given us for viewings and engaging with customers has had a great effect on business.
Saturday just gone being a prime example! We have a property on the market on a multi agency basis. By being the only agent here Saturday afternoon we made a viewing, took the offer and tied up the sale all while our competitors were shut. Thus giving us a valuable sale and a just as valuable happy customer!
