September is traditionally a very busy time in the housing market. Many buyers return to house hunting after their summer holidays looking to make purchases that can complete before Christmas. We also generally see a spike in new instructions and properties coming to the market. This month is no different! Couple the above with the fact that the stamp duty holiday up to £250,000 ends 30th September 2021 it is safe to say it is very busy in our offices at the moment. The housing market remains strong and we expect activity to stay very good as we move in to the fourth quarter of 2021. If you are thinking of moving call us today to discuss your options.
Last week we had a couple in our office in Gorleston looking for a detached bungalow. We had no detached bungalows in the area that they were looking to offer, however, we had an excellent extended semi! The couple didn’t want to view but Eleanor suggested since they were in the area and struggling to find they should take a look!..... 60 minutes later we received an offer from them and they are now proceeding with the purchase! They are over the moon with the bungalow. At Aldreds we always match our properties to clients on our database and who are looking to purchase across our areas. Although we advertise heavily online we are not reliant on it and maintain the same desire to match houses and buyers that we have had since 1857!
A fascinating instruction that is attracting lots of interest! Built in the mid 1800’s as a feed and flour mill, before it was given over to residential conversion in the 1950's. The Grade II Listed mill tower sits in a generous plot in a fantastic rural location with three bedroom accommodation within the tower and it's adjoining addition. A particular feature of the property, offering much more potential for further accommodation is the modern studio building within the grounds. This large, attractive building, originally built as a recording studio, offers a tremendous open plan space. The mature, secluded garden creates a wonderful setting, ideal for buyers looking for an interesting, characterful permanent residence or a holiday home/let. Available now at a Guide Price of £450,000. For more information, please contact our Stalham office on 01692 581089 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Aldreds are delighted to support the wonderful Circus Starr and contributed towards a child and carer attending the event on Saturday at Caister Academy. For over 30 years Circus Starr has benefited so many vulnerable children in our community. The Coronavirus pandemic has seen families throughout the UK go through so much, with many more children becoming disadvantaged and feeling isolated. We are proud to have done a little bit to help!
